Greetings, and thank you for your interest in the club! 🫡
I’m Nicolas Lendkrais, and I started DJing in 1996. From the 2000s onwards, I did it more professionally—using my own turntables and playing at parties hosted by friends or at my first official events.
I gradually explored different styles and eventually gravitated towards electronic music. At first, it was largely minimal, as that sound was very influential in Magdeburg. It was a great time!
I got into techno through a friend from Berlin who took me to the clubs there. One particular club, where I was a regular guest, has shaped me to this day. I was determined to bring that distinctive sound to Magdeburg - but how?
Back then, there was only one good techno club in Rothensee and one collective that organized what I considered the best techno parties in Magdeburg. However, I didn't feel good enough for either of them, so I initially stuck to DJing for friends.
Unfortunately, the city of Magdeburg had - and still has—no real interest in club culture. Many of these events could no longer be held, or were no longer permitted to take place.
However, in 2012/2013, a rumor began to circulate: there was a new techno club in Magdeburg. Right in the middle of the city. WHAT?! 😱
After a long night of online research, I came across Geheimclub. I quickly sent a recent set of mine to someone I didn’t know - and then, for six months, nothing happened.
But at some point, just as I was on my way home, I received a message:
"Your sound might be a good fit for us - let's meet up."
I was so happy and excited! Before long, I got the chance to DJ alongside DJ T.A.G. from Tresor for the first time at Geheimclub.
Since then, I’ve been a resident DJ at this club—my second home. It’s full of love 🥰, with a great crew and unforgettable nights.
After a while, further guest residencies followed at KLUB ELEKTRIK, "Voll für’n Jarten," and "Tach der Arbeit." Getting to play there and being a resident DJ at a club had always been my dream!
