DXTN

Hi,

I’m Enrico, a resident DJ at Geheimclub. I started DJing back in 1996—though you could hardly call it DJing at the time. I made do with whatever gear I could find in the attic, including a hi-fi system with a turntable sitting right on top. Gradually, I acquired my first proper turntables, which were soon replaced by the even "properer" Technics 1210s. I started out with Gabber, then—after a detour through Schranz and other fads—moved toward Trance and Happy Rave, finally settling on Techno and House after my first visit to the original Tresor club. Musically, I don’t like to be pigeonholed; I’m into every facet of electronic music, which is why I use a number of different aliases. My heart beats primarily for Techno, but House, Drum and Bass, Breakbeat, and the like also find their way through the mixer from time to time. I currently play exclusively in digital format, though I am capable of DJing with vinyl. It’s just my personal opinion, but I see no reason to play analog these days. I bought my last big batch of records in 2023, and they’re still sitting in the box, unopened. Someday, I’ll get around to that batch and play a special set using three or four decks. I promise. I’ve lost count of how many gigs I’ve played—it’s been a lot, a *lot*—though, admittedly, it doesn’t look that way given my consistent lack of interest in social media as a creator 😀
